Guest Instructor

Felix Morton

PhD, LCMHC, NCC, CHWC is the founder of Beyond Wellbeing, a resource for counseling, coaching, and educational training. Dr. Morton received his PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education from North Carolina State University in 2023, and currently teaches for Capella and Wake Forest Universities. He works with individuals from a variety of backgrounds on issues including anxiety, trauma, depression, grief and loss, racial and ethnic identity concerns, adjustment and transition difficulties, men's health and wellness, college student development, and issues impacting people of color, primarily Black men and women.

Wesley Wade

PhD, MA, LCAS, LCMHC, CCMHC, NCC is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, a licensed clinical addictions specialist, a certified clinical mental health counselor, and a national certified counselor. He owns and operates Forward Counseling & Consulting, collaborates as a neurodiversity consultant with various organizations internationally, and has cultivated career programing in higher education throughout the state of North Carolina for neurodivergent students in addition to programs centering the experiences of undergraduate Black men attending PWIs. Currently, Wesley is a Ph.D. candidate in the Counseling and Counselor Education program at NC State University where he researches the associations between neurodivergence, career development, and components of racial identity.

Anna Hayes

Anna Hayes (she/her/hers) joined OUE’s Division of Experiential Education as the Director of Global Health and Safety in the Office of Global Health and Safety (OGHS) in 2022. Anna previously served as the associate director of global programs at Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC, where she was the lead operations officer for faculty-led and exchange programs. Prior to UNC, Anna was assistant director in NC State's Study Abroad Office, where she oversaw risk assessment strategy, the development of health and safety resources, and pre-departure health and safety trainings for both global program students and program leaders. Anna holds degrees from UNC-Greensboro and NC State and expects to earn her PhD in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development from NC State in 2023. Anna is an active leader, trainer, and mentor in the field of international education. Anna and her husband Adam live in Raleigh with their four cats and four chickens. She enjoys spending time with her five siblings, reading and watching movies, traveling, and taking long afternoon naps.
